Goldline Contest Rules

These General Contest Rules apply to promotional contests and prize draws offered by G.B.D. Marketing Ltd., operating as Goldline Curling (“Goldline” or the “Sponsor”), unless different or additional terms are stated in the Specific Contest Details below.

Each contest is also subject to the Specific Contest Details applicable to that contest. If there is a conflict between these General Contest Rules and the Specific Contest Details, the Specific Contest Details will apply.

No purchase necessary.

General Contest Rules

1. Eligibility

Unless otherwise stated in the Specific Contest Details, Goldline contests are open to residents of Canada.

Employees, officers and directors of Goldline, and members of their immediate households, are not eligible to enter.

Entrants who are under the age of majority in their province or territory of residence must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to participate. If an entrant who is under the age of majority is selected as a potential winner, Goldline may require the entrant’s parent or legal guardian to accept the prize and satisfy any winner requirements on the entrant’s behalf.

All contests are subject to applicable federal, provincial, territorial and local laws and are void where prohibited by law.

2. How to Enter

Entrants must follow the entry instructions described for the applicable contest and submit their entry during the contest period identified in the Specific Contest Details.

Unless otherwise stated, there is a limit of one (1) entry per person for each contest.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

Providing consent to receive marketing communications from Goldline is optional and is not a condition of entering a contest or winning a prize.

3. Winner Selection and Odds

Unless otherwise stated in the Specific Contest Details, one potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the applicable contest period.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for that contest.

4. Notification and Skill-Testing Question

Goldline will attempt to contact the selected entrant using the contact information provided with their entry.

Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by Goldline.

Unless otherwise stated in the Specific Contest Details, if the selected entrant cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, does not respond within seven (7) days of Goldline’s first attempt to contact them, does not meet the eligibility requirements, declines the prize, or does not correctly answer the skill-testing question, that entrant will be disqualified and Goldline may select another potential winner by random draw from the remaining eligible entries.

5. Prizes

The number, description and approximate retail value of the prize or prizes available for each contest are set out in the Specific Contest Details.

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not redeemable for cash unless Goldline expressly agrees otherwise.

If an advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Goldline’s reasonable control, Goldline reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate retail value.

6. Prize Delivery

Goldline will make reasonable arrangements with each confirmed winner for pickup or delivery of the applicable prize. Prizes will be awarded within a reasonable period following confirmation of the winner.

7. Personal Information and Marketing Consent

Personal information collected through a contest entry will be used to administer the contest, including verifying eligibility, contacting selected entrants and awarding prizes, and for any other purposes identified at the time the information is collected.

Entrants may separately choose to consent to receiving marketing communications from Goldline. Marketing consent is optional and is not required to enter a contest.

Where an entrant provides marketing consent, Goldline may use the contact information provided to send news, product information, special offers and promotional communications. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Goldline may use service providers to process or store information on its behalf and will handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

8. General Conditions

Goldline reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, fraudulent, submitted contrary to these rules or the applicable Specific Contest Details, or that otherwise interferes with the fair administration of a contest.

If a contest cannot be administered as intended because of technical problems, fraud, unauthorized intervention or another circumstance beyond Goldline’s reasonable control, Goldline may modify, suspend or terminate the contest, subject to applicable law.

If a contest is terminated after eligible entries have been received, Goldline may select a potential winner from the eligible entries received before termination.

Goldline’s decisions concerning the administration and interpretation of a contest are final, subject to applicable law.
